William J. Reese, Jr. – President and CEO
Mr. Reese founded professional Medical Insurance Services in response to the need for a brokerage which could provide the highest degree of expertise in healthcare-related risks while at the same time providing a customer-driven service environment. Since its founding in 1998, Professional Medical Insurance Services has become recognized by the insurance marketplace as a leader in integrity and professionalism. Prior to forming PMIS, Mr. Reese served as the President of Healthcare Insurance Services (HIS). In this capacity, Mr. Reese was instrumental in developing the agency into the largest writer of professional liability for emergency department contract groups building the book to $70 million in premium volume. He then transformed the agency from a single product niche for emergency department groups providing comprehensive products for all of the healthcare industry. During his tenure, he was responsible for the #24 spot of the top 100 insurance brokers in 1996 by growing the book to over $300 million in premium volume. While at HIS, Mr. Reese developed and maintained loyal insurance relationships, affiliations and connections which helped to maintain greater than 90% client retention. He also created exclusive broker relationships with major national insurance carriers (i.e., CNA, AIG, Reliance, Zurich, etc.). He still maintains strong ties to these companies today. Mr. Reese attended Villanova University, Rutgers University and spent four years in the US Navy.
